Is the issue confined to Google Chrome Update? According to Google Chrome support. This is a bug in previous version of Google Chrome: Users that try to "force" updates by going to the "about" dialog will currently trigger an elevation prompt -- we added a policy to disallow this, it should be available in Chrome 11.
